Toddler Time

Toddler Time at Moorebank and Green Valley Libraries, a program designed for children 18 months – 3years. This weekly program introduces children to early literacy, imagination, communication and social skills. Programs focuses on Nursery rhymes, action rhymes, simple games and stories for children. A fun filled 30 minutes session. The presenter uses scarves, ribbons and musical instrument as part of the program presentation.

Rhyme Time

Duplo Bricks Club

This free weekly program held during the school term provides all the Duplo™ your child will need to crate and explore their own ideas. Special sessions will also be held on a particular theme guided by staff.

The Robots are coming _ or are they already here?

Robotics and artificial intelligence are technologies that are in the process of leaving the research laboratory and entering mainstream reality.
A/Prof Robert Fitch will discuss what robots are, what they aren’t, and how they are already performing useful work that would not otherwise be possible. 
This free event is part of Inspiring Australia’s Talking Science library speaker series for Sydney Science Festival in National Science Week.

Plotting on the Low: Fundamentals of Storytelling

Stories are everywhere—from advertisements to TV shows to conversations—but have you ever stopped to think about what a story actually is? Through key examples and interactive exercises, Tongan-Australian Winnie Dunn and Vietnamese-Australian Stephen Pham, writers from Sweatshop: Western Sydney Literacy Movement will guide you through the basic tenets of storytelling. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to plan and tell interesting stories as a foundation for all your future writing.
