An Edwardian House Party 1900 to 1914

Timeline Photography © Cavalcade

Presented by Cavalcade: The History of Fashion
This presentation focusses on the Edwardian Era and is a tantalising snapshot of how women of high society spent their time, what the events of the time were and how these events combined to influence fashion. It showcases a variety of garments typically worn by women at this time and the accessories to accompany alluring outfits or those required for a weekend in the country. You will be able to view interesting outfits for activities such as tennis or croquet, striking gowns for luncheon, elegant gowns for an afternoon stroll and magnificent dinner gowns.
Accompanying this small taste of the Cavalcade’s vast collection, are a selection of fascinating stories about these Edwardian women.
