Kid's Curator and Collectors Camp - School Holidays

Wednesday, 19 January 2022 | 10am - 12pm | Liverpool | Kids

Are you a collector?

Since ancient times people have collected objects. Museums collect objects to tell stories and preserve artefacts for future generations.

Why do people collect? What makes a collection? What are some things people collect?

Join the Liverpool Regional Museum Kids’ Curator and Collector Camp to understand what a collection is, how to display and store your collections, what do curators do, and to meet and share your collection with other collectors.

Wednesday 19th January
10am -12 noon
Liverpool Regional Museum

Suitable for ages 9-14.

Bookings are essential and open Tuesday 30 November.

Remember to bring photographs of your collection with you and, if suitable, three objects from your collection for a hands-on activity and some morning tea.

Each child will receive a special inaugural Kid’s Curator and Collector Camp certificate emailed to them and their collection will be featured on the Liverpool Regional Museum Instagram/ Facebook page over the following weeks. The Club members’ collections will be posted with their first name only.
