Exhibition: Sense of Place

Friday, 04 February 2022 - Friday, 01 April 2022 | 9:30am - 8pm | Liverpool | Kids; General

From the winding Georges River to bustling Macquarie Street, Liverpool and its landscapes have always been special. Sense of Place shows life in Liverpool through the eyes of local students from Busby West Public School, Liverpool Public School and Unity Grammar High School.

Friday 4 February - Friday 1 April
During Library Hours
Liverpool City Library

Artworks in Sense of Place are like polaroid snapshots of a time and place: bright and joyful with shades of nostalgia. Students were inspired by Ken Done and you might recognise the affinity that Ken Done’s playful style shares with the artworks made by the students. Like Ken, the students paint vibrant colourful patterns, inventive shirt designs and lively sunlit landscapes.

How many familiar places of Liverpool do you recognise walking through the gallery?

This exhibition is in partnership with Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre.
