A Roomful of Stories

13 December 2019 - 31 January 2020
Stories are everywhere waiting to be discovered

What is the Summer Reading Club?

Summer Reading Club is a free holiday program to encourage reading that runs in libraries all over Australia over the summer. This year our theme is a Roomful of Stories and we encourage you to explore all the different ways stories are told and tell some of your own.

You can also go into the running to win great prizes such as seeing a kids theatre production at the Opera House, a gift voucher to grab some great new books and storytelling games.

How can I take part?
  • Register here and grab an activity booklet at your local library. (Registrations open 13 December)
  • Read books or listen to stories of your choice during the summer.
  • Fill in your activity booklet over the summer.
  • Join your local library, either in person or online.
  • Attend our Roomful of Stories themed school holiday activities.

There are great prizes on offer for taking part! To enter the Summer Reading Club Prize Draw:

  1. The Summer Reading Club Prize Draw is open to children aged 2 - 12.
  2. To enter, you will need to register.
  3. Fill in any of the entry pages in your activity book, cut out and return to any of our libraries before 5pm on the 31st of January.
