This two-hour workshop is for those who would like to learn the basic skills for textile, costume and mixed media object care. The session, led by Tess Evans ACR, will involve a presentation, practical demonstration, and an opportunity to have questions answered and individual objects assessed.
Attendees will gain a basic knowledge of the main problems encountered in collections of historic textiles, and how to correctly handle, store, label and display textiles to minimise damage and preserve them.
Light refreshments will be served after the workshop.
