Support for Local Authors at Liverpool City Library
Liverpool City Library is proud to support and promote local authors by offering the opportunity for both published and self-published authors to have their books included in the library’s collection.
If you are an author living within the Liverpool Local Government Area (LGA), we encourage you to check our Library Catalogue to see if your title is already part of our collection.
If your title is not yet included, you may submit a request by email for consideration.
To be included in the ‘Local Authors’ Collection, works must be authored or illustrated by individuals who reside in the Liverpool Local Government Area (LGA) and subject to the Library’s Collection Development Policy.
Book Launch Support
In addition to adding your book to our collection, we also provide support for local authors to connect with the Liverpool community.
We offer assistance with hosting a book launch event at Yellamundie Library and Gallery, which can include a book signing. This is a great way to promote your book and engage with your local audience.
If you’re interested in registering for a book launch event, please contact us by email at library@liverpool.nsw.gov.au
Local Stories and Research
Have you written a story, research paper, or article about Liverpool?
We invite you to share your work with us. Your story, culture, experiences, and research can enrich our Local Studies Collection, which houses a variety of research, articles, photograph’s and oral histories that document the history and culture of our community.
If you’re interested in contributing to the collection, please contact us by email at library@liverpool.nsw.gov.au
