Home Library Service

Did you know your Library offers a free home library service for eligible people?

The home library service is a free personalised delivery service for Liverpool residents who are unable to visit the library.  Library staff will deliver and collect items to your home or residence.

Residents who live in the Liverpool Local Government Area (LGA) and are unable to visit the library due to:

  • Chronic illness
  • Frail age
  • Disability
  • Limited mobility

The home library service also provides a bulk loan delivery service to local groups such as:

  • Carers
  • Nursing homes
  • Hospitals
  • Hostels

A library staff member will call you on a regular 3-week basis to help you select items from our extensive collection according to your unique interests and preferences.

Your selected items will be packed and delivered to you by a library staff member.  At each delivery, items from your previous delivery will be collected.  Your library Items will be borrowed on your Liverpool Library card.

  • Books and large print books
  • Audiobooks
  • Magazines
  • Movies (DVDs)
  • Community language books, magazines and movies
