Join us at the museum for two talks on Liverpool Speedway with Dennis Newlyn Speedway Journalist/ Historian and Photojournalist/Historian Tony Loxley.

TALK 1 - HOW IT ALL BEGAN
11:00 am- 11.50 pm

From the initial approach by a group of disgruntled stockcar drivers to Frank Oliveri. To the opening of the track, the early years and how Liverpool Speedway took on the established "giants" of Sydney Showground, Westmead and Windsor Speedways. Dennis and Tony will cover the formative years of Liverpool Speedway.

12.00 pm - 1.00 pm Light Lunch Break Cars and Conversations

TALK 2 - THE MILESTONE MOMENTS
1:00 pm- 1.50 pm

International competitors, Indy 500 legends, huge promotions and prize money, National Titles and the 100-lap Marlboro Sedan Grand National the biggest and richest sedan race in Australian speedway for decades. Although the track operated for only 22 years, it crammed a lifetime of accomplishments into those two decades. Tony, Dennis and some special guests will cover some key moments of Liverpool Speedway history.
