We invite you to join us for a history talk with Cate Whittaker titled 'Lost Voices' where Cate will discuss Elizabeth Fry and Jane Franklin.
"Not about charity, but justice for convict women.”
Elizabeth Fry and Governor's wife, Jane Franklin fought tirelessly for the rights of convict women. Jane was dismissed in disgrace for it. Elizabeth's society for helping female prisoners lasted another 50 years after her death.
