The initiative also features personal accounts of local activists which helped Latin America to enter the cultural and political history of Australia, particularly between the 1970s and 1990s.

Pablo Leighton worked in Chile, the United States and Spain as a filmmaker and writer of fiction and non-fiction productions. Since moving to Australia in 2008, he has worked as educator and researcher on Latin American audio-visual culture.
