Participating is easy!

  1. Become a library member, if you aren't one already.
  2. Register here and download a booklet, or join at your local library
  3. Find great reads at your local branch or through our eLibrary. We've got some great options here to get you started!
  4. Return the reading log or other entry pages to your local library by 5pm on 4 February 2022, and go into a draw to win a prize!

How easy is that?

Why do we run the Summer Reading Challenge?
Over the school holidays when kids aren’t going to school, they can forget how to read. Not completely - but a little bit. Reading is like playing a sport - if you don’t train regularly, you’ll find it harder to play your best and if you don’t read often, you’ll find that harder too. We want kids in our community to find reading easy in February when they return to school. We encourage older siblings and parents to get reading too.

You can read the terms and conditions of the competition here.
