Pleasure Point

Pleasure Point was gazetted on 7 April 1972. The suburb was later subdivided in 1987 when Voyager Point was created.

What’s in a name?

Pleasure Point was named for the natural beauty of the locality on a curve of the Tucoreah-Georges River.

There is an article in The Cumberland Argus and Fruitgrowers Advocate dated 9 October 1925, describing the official opening of the “Pleasure Point Resort”. The article states that Pleasure Point was the first waterside subdivision in the Liverpool area.
